This was a game we were capable of winning and lost through two key mistakes: Lack of shots on goal and two defensive breakdowns. The loss puts us in third place in the flight. Depending on what Clarkston did today, we still have a chance to win the division but it is no longer within our own destiny.
We sure could have used Jake and Sam today. Sam's loss meant I couldn't substitute within the defense and that may have caused the defensive errors that cost the game. Jake being gone left us weak in midfield, causing me to make substitutions there that I'd rather not have done.
On the positive side, David scored a nice goal, we spread the field nicely and passed well.
Let's win those last two games and battle for first place.
