Five players we normally count on couldn't make the last game due to prior commitments and sickness. It becomes a problem when that happens because we ended up playing short. Jack, Liam, Joel, Dario and Sebas put out an extraordinary effort, playing short yet leading for a lot of the game. But the lack of breaks and water took its toll and they ended up losing 2 - 4 at the end. Great job anyway! Too bad it wasn't the team we played last week instead.
I'm camping with Liam next weekend so Xavier will coach the team. Let's hope there are fewer Bar Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteens, Basketball, Swim meets and sickness for the 3:10 PM game on Saturday.
Here's where I'll post the most important items, like practice cancelled due to weather etc. Look here first, then the calendar. Big items of the week: Last game 8:30 AM Sunday June 10th at Barbour Pond. See you on the field by 8:00 AM. Wear blue, bring white. Come to Bruce and Kathy's after the last game with swimsuits.

Second win at tournmaent
Thanks, Xavier for coaching the boys to another victory.
Too bad there was little competition. From what I heard, we had to stop playing offence halfway through the game. Let's hope there is a better game ahead of us this coming Saturday

First Indoor Win
A nice exciting win. It was fun having actual substitutes for a change. The boys each got a breather or two. I was unable to Jack out for too long since the other team scored both their goals in his absence.
I loved watching Sebastian charge into the goal and score a follow-up goal that finally secured the win.

Indoor Tournament Starts this Saturday
Sorry about the lack of notice. I've been calling them regularly but they finally got back to me tonight to tell me about it.
We have a tournament starting at Turf City for five weeks every Saturday. The first game is this Saturday, Jan 18th at 1:15 PM. Please bring your sons 15 minutes in advance to warm up.
The league dues will pay for most of this tournament and the extra trainer fees we have will cover the remainder.
